Homemade Hair Treatments for Growth and Health

In todays world people are looking for natural products to put not only on their skin but on their hair too, to keep it healthy and to promote hair growth this a little snipit into that world, with probably ingredients you already have in your kitchen cupboards.

Dry damaged frizzy hair ingredients

3 drops of essential oil of your choice, half of an avocado, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of honey.

Pop all the ingredients into a bowl mix together to create a paste, apply to wet hair starting at the bottom working your way up the midlengths of the hair, try to leave the roots of the hair out of the mixture as prodomitedly hair tends to be drier mid lengths down. Once applied either grab yourself a shower cap or a clip and pop the hair in a bun on top of the head leave for 20 minutes then simply rinse, shampoo, condition as normal. This can be done once a month to give hair a little boost of nourishment and tlc.

Dry scalp/dandruff  ingredients

Castor oil

Get yourself a small microwavable container and pop 1 teaspoon of caster oil into the container put the container into the microwave and heat for only 5-10 seconds until warm NOT hot, with your fingertips press into the castor oil and start applying to your scalp massaging gently. Leave for 20-30 minutes then rinse with cool water to then shampoo and condition.

Hair growth and shine ingredients

2 egg yolks

Crack open two eggs separate the yolks from the whites, with the two yolks mix well within a bowl once mixed wash your hair with your chosen shampoo, shampoo twice then you can either apply egg yolks straight to wet hair or you can mix it with your chosen conditioner, apply to mid lengths and ends once applied leave for 30 minutes then simply rinse with cool water. This mask should be done once a month to achieve best results for growth and shine.

Keeping cuticles constricted ingredients

Tea bags

Boil the kettle, pop two tea bags in either a large mug or sperate tea bags into two mugs simple pour boiling water into the mug or mugs leave the tea bags brewing in the mug/mugs for 10 minutes, once time is up squeeze out the tea bags and dispose the tea bags into the bin. With the black tea leave to cool down then decant the tea into a spray bottle. Wash the hair with chosen shampoo but before the conditioner is applied grab the black tea spray and simply spray all over the hair starting at the bottoms working the way up the hair, with fingertips work the spray into the hair, pop hair into a shower cap and leave for 5 minutes, rinse with cool water then apply chosen conditioner as normal.

Dry/curly hair mask ingredients

1 cup of rice, ½ avocado

Start with soaking the rice in some water, once soaked for around 10 minutes whilst the rice is soaking mash up the ½ avocado into a bowl, after ten minutes is up sieve the rice water into the bowl with the avocado in mix the tow together well. Wash hair twice with chosen shampoo then apply the homemade mask to the hair using your hand, starting from the bottom working your way up the hair. Leave in the hair for 30 minutes, rinse well with cool water.
